Taking action together for Love and Care for Zambia
On April 2, we are departing for Miloso in Zambia with a special group of family members to support various projects there on behalf of the Love and Care for Zambia foundation. It will be a trip full of encounters, collaboration, and practical help — something we are really looking forward to.
👨👩👧👦 Who is joining us?
We are traveling with a close-knit family team:
- The brothers Egbert and Geert, together with their wives Dinie and Netty
- Dinie and Egbert’s daughter, Mirjam, with her husband Remco
- Their children Jesse, Nikki, and Liz
A wonderful mix of generations who want to dedicate themselves together to the people in and around Miloso.
🔧 Projects we will work on
During our stay, we are focusing on a number of concrete and valuable projects:
- Purchase and installation of six Buffalo Bikes
These sturdy bicycles are indispensable for commuting to work or for getting around the area. Such a bike can carry up to 100 kg of luggage.
- Solar panels for the health post in Miloso
With reliable power, local healthcare (better storage conditions for medicines and vaccines) can function better, especially during power outages.
- Purchase of a threshing machine
This machine, for sale in Mkushi near Miloso, helps farmers process their harvest faster and more efficiently. Egbert, Geert, and our contact person Michael will select the right machine on site.
